Photos from Future Human: The Automated Nation
Thanks to everyone who came down to Future Human: The Automated Nation at The Book Club last night. It was a cracker, and it’s already generating post-event online discussion/dissection from the Twitter hordes as well as this insightful piece from David Wood, engaging futurologist and one of the founders of the now-ubiquitous Symbian mobile platform.
Join us next month for Tweet Justice, where we’ll be looking at how the UK justice system is coping (or not) with the new threats to privacy and reputation that blogging and social networking bring. Guests include Zoe Margolis (aka The Girl With the One Track Mind), and Shane Richmond, Telegraph.co.uk’s chief tech writer. There’ll be more details in the coming days; in the meantime here’s a bunch of photos from last night.

Our panel (l-r): Jannis Kallinikos (LSE), Carsten Sorensen (LSE), Victor Henning (Mendeley), Peter Kirwan (Wired; Fullrun), and our chair Oliver Beatty

A truly excellent evening – great panel, well-managed audience participation and a neat venue. I’ll be first to sign up for the next one.
