Alexandre Mouradian: “It’s Mine I Tell You, Mine! All Mine!”

Wow. Wow. Just….wow. How to begin even taking in the brio, the balls, the sheer cosmic obnoxiousness of Alexandre Mouradian, head the exchange-traded options desk of brokerage firm Tradition Securities and Futures.

Alex is suing his firm for doing him out of £92,000. Poor guy, right? Stick it to the man, Alex! Oh, hang on, it’s £92,000 out of a £1.3m bonus. And his salary on top of that is £300,000. Pint of bothered, please.

But it gets so much better. Him and his eight employees on the desk were set to get a bonus pool of 60% of the net income they made, that was to be split between them. Our Alex thought it would probably be best if he sorted out who gets what. Final breakdown of the bonus for the seven employees: 1x£60,000, 1x£47,000, 1x£2000, 5x£0. His take: £1.32m, or 92%.

So after this colossal instance of what Americans would call “douchebaggery”, he’s got the temerity to claim that he’s owed another £92,000 that he says was unfairly taken from the bonus pool, before he even got the chance to unfairly take it from his fellow employees’ bonuses.

The Court of Appeal who are currently handling the case (let’s hope it goes to the High Court) seem to be affording it the correct level of respect, calling it “a hoot”. This guy is going to be the poster boy for the anti-bonus brigade.

NB: if ANYONE has a photo of this douche lying around, please send it to us asap at info@badidea.co.uk
