The Tell All Printing Press
I’ve just got back from ContainerPLUS’s studio on Vyner Street, and I can tell all those who are coming to the V&A this Friday to see BAD IDEA’s ‘The Art of Confession’ event that you are truly in for a treat. Anna Fulmine showed me factory ContainerPLUS have built for the Tell All Printing Press, and it’s ridiculous. About 10 ft high and 3 metres wide, it’s made of a series of lightboxes housing visual illusions, utilising shadow-play and lighting to dramatise the printing process. There were millions of bits of lego all over the tables, and they seemed to have made some whirring helicopter type things, as well as cogs and wheels and all manner of moving parts that will be brought to life on the night – hard to explain, I recommend just coming and having a look. See the designs in the attached picture – it’s going to be displayed in the Grand Entrance.
